Palm Springs City Councilmember Geoff Kors and Mr. Monopoly unveiled the new Palm Springs Edition of MONOPOLY on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at the Palm Springs Art Musuem. Members of the media and invited guests were welcomed to shake the dice and see which of their favorite locations around town were immortalized as coveted real estate on the world’s most popular game.
Top Trumps USA Inc, manufacturers of the official Palm Springs edition of MONOPOLY under license from Hasbro, unveiled the 24 iconic locations that truly emulate all of the things that make Palm Springs like no place else. Cinema Diverse and the Palm Springs LGBTQ Film Festival were choosen to be one the properties on the Monopoly Palm Springs game, making it the first LGBTQ property to be featured on a city editon of Monopoly. The new Palm Springs Monopoly game also features customized ‘Community Chest’ and ‘Chance’ playing cards that making the entire game truly a Palm Springs experience.
