JOSH ZIPPERMAN

Josh is a Senior Account Executive of BRC serving as a project manager and active contributor on several of the agency’s accounts. He is currently working on community outreach and social media for the CV Link project and Salton Sea Management Program. In addition, Josh has the primary responsibility of producing the annual Southern California Energy + Water Summit. He is experienced in all aspects of marketing and advertising including public relations, print, web, direct marketing, electronic, outdoor, events, digital, and social media.

Developing an early interest in public affairs, Josh began his career as intern for Los Angeles City Councilmember Laura Chick while in high school. During his years as a undergrad at UCLA, Josh fell under the wing of Brian Rix and began working on the political fundraising campaigns of Governor Gray Davis, Los Angeles County Sherriff Lee Baca, Los Angeles City Councilmember Tom LaBonge and the Los Angeles Community College District to name a few.

Zipperman then went on to help launch the Coachella Valley office of Burke Rix Communications, government affairs, marketing, public relations, and event management firm in Palm Springs, California. Josh became an immediate expert of grant funding, assisting many Coachella Valley cities and other groups to identify and digest opportunities, write grants and successfully procure funding.

Josh has had an integral hand in the development, marketing and management of the Southern California Energy Summit, Modern Living Expo, and Measure J campaign for the City of Palm Springs. Establishing his expertise in crafting strategies, Josh was successful in leading Safeway Vons to significant victory on a number of land use and entitlement issues throughout the Coachella Valley.

Zipperman is a graduate of Leadership Coachella Valley and sits on the executive board of directors for the Mizell Senior Center in addition to being a member of the Palm Desert Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee. In October of 2014, he was named by Palm Springs Life magazine as one of the 40 under 40 leaders of the Coachella Valley.
